Coimbatore: A clash occurred between two parties at the CSI Boys Higher Secondary School on Race Course Road, over the appointment of a Headmaster for the school. The police have arrested the Treasurer and the Assistant of the Bishop.
Coimbatore: A clash occurred between two parties at the CSI Boys Higher Secondary School on Race Course Road, over the appointment of a Headmaster for the school. The police have arrested the Treasurer and the Assistant of the Bishop.
The CSI Head Office is situated on Race Course Road. A meeting led by Bishop Timothy Raveendar was held last month regarding the appointment of a new headmaster. At that time, two parties involved in the meeting got into a scuffle and attacked each other by throwing objects. The Secretary of the church, Father Charles Samraj (43) sustained injuries in the clash and was admitted to the Coimbatore Government Hospital. Based on his complaint, the police have registered a case.
Following this, the police arrested three persons namely Prince Ernest (41), John Kamlesh (34) and Father Kaviraj George (46).
Meanwhile, the educational team Convenor, Chandran filed a complaint with the police against Bishop Timothy Raveendar, Father Charles Samraj, Secretary David Mangal Das and the Assistant of the Bishop Bakkiyanadhan. Following this, the police arrested David Mangal Das near the CSI office today. The police also arrested the Bishop’s Assistant, Bakkiyanadhan near Ramanathapuram.
It is reported that the police are on the lookout for the Bishop and Father Charles Samraj, who are allegedly absconding.
