Coimbatore: On Thursday, a three-year-old child was found by a social activist wandering in the streets near Mettupalayam bus stand. The child was safely handed over to the police who were on the lookout of the child's parents.
Coimbatore: On Thursday, a three-year-old child was found by a social activist wandering in the streets near Mettupalayam bus stand. The child was safely handed over to the police who were on the lookout of the child's parents.
As the child was unable to share any information on her parents, location or their phone number, the police circulated a picture of the child in social media including Facebook and WhatsApp, through which the parents of the missing child contacted the sub inspector of MTP station, Bhaskaran and took custody of the child on Friday.
"These days, social media is highly helpful in tracing missing cases and accused within a short span of time.
Even in this case, the police managed to track her parents with the help of social media", opined a social activist.
