Coimbatore: A man who was working as a daily labourer in a farmland in Mettupalayam died on the spot after he got electrocuted during work on Thursday.
Coimbatore: A man who was working as a daily labourer in a farmland in Mettupalayam died on the spot after he got electrocuted during work on Thursday.
Chinnathambi, who was working in a farmland in Vedar Colony in Mettupalayam (MTP) was electrocuted after he switched on the pump set, this morning. The labourers in the farmland found him motionless and informed the Mettupalayam police and TNEB officials.
Following this, the police with the help of TNEB workers retrieved the body and sent it to Mettupalayam government hospital for post-mortem.
The MTP Police have registered a case and commenced investigation.
