This location is used frequently by film makers to shoot movies, especially film songs since it is ideal for photography. The shooting spot has reportedly recorded the most footfall this summer.



Pagalkod Mandhu as it was originally known was rechristened Shooting Point, after frequent shooting of various films. Walking up the steep area at Shooting Point is a new experience for tourists who enjoy natural scenery and the beauty of the slopes. Since this spot is located on the Ooty-Gudalur Highway, tourists from Kerala and Karnataka make it a point to stop here. 



The ticket counter at the entrance to the Shooting Point spot has been uniquely made to resemble a Toda tribe house, which fascinates tourists who stop by, here. Traders here, whose livelihood is dependent on tourists are rejoicing at the large inflow of tourists, this summer season.
