For the first time in Nilgiris, a fish museum has been opened. The museum is on the Ooty-Dodabetta road and boasts of 500 varieties of colour fishes on display. The main attraction among the fish species are Flora, Jaint Gowra and Cashpher. Jaint Gowra is said to live up to 35 years and reportedly has a healthy relationship with humans.
These fishes are said to feed on only green vegetables. Likewise, the Flora fish too is known to be a hit among humans. Tourists are making a beeline to view the exotic display of these fishes in the newly opened museum.
