Coimbatore: A statement from Leema Rose Martin, wife of lottery businessman, Martin in a statement has denied seizure of unaccounted cash, jewels and documents during the recent Income Tax (IT) raid at their properties across the country.
Through an official statement, she has alleged that media has been falsely projecting news that hundreds of crores of cash and diamonds were seized by the IT officials during the raid conducted on April 30.
"At the end of the raid, officials confiscated only Rs. 98,820. The document was sealed and signed by the assistant commissioner of IT department", she noted in her statement.

"In this scenario, news is being spread in televisions that crores of unaccounted cash and jewelry were seized from our residence in Coimbatore, which is completely baseless. Some newspapers have even released false photos and news that secret rooms in our residence were found during the IT raid, in which cash and jewels worth several crores were stacked", her statement said.
