Coimbatore : Kaviya Varshini of Vidya Nikethan Public School in Puliyakulam here scored 497 marks out of 500, securing the third rank at the national level in the CBSE Class 10 results that were announced earlier this evening.

Kaviya scored 100 marks in Math, Science and Social Sciences, and scored 99 and 98 marks in Tamil and English respectively. Kaviya Varshini is the daughter of a farmer in Peelamedu here. She attributed her remarkable academic success to the encouragement she received from her parents and teachers. "I could achieve this only because I studied by understanding the subjects." Kaviya expressed her desire to study oncology in the future and to also clear the UPSC exams to qualify as an IAS officer.
