Coimbatore: The party flag and symbol of ‘Anaiththu Samooga Makkal Katchi’ was introduced at the Coimbatore Press Club, today.
Addressing the media thereafter, party cadres said, "We have formed this party after separating from ‘Samooga Makkal Katchi.’ Dr. Selvaraj from Kadaloor will take charge as leader, Amudha from Coimbatore will be the General Secretary, Baby Shakila will be State Deputy Secretary, Hariharan from Virudhachalam will be Treasurer, and Senthil Kumar along with other party functionaries will also pitching in."
"The party aims to improve the livelihood of people of all classes. We have about 5 lakh members in our party. The party symbol and flag will soon be registered as a political party. Fulfilling educational and employment needs is the primary wish of our party. Priority will be given to agriculture. Our party will contest alone in all the constituencies for the upcoming legislative assembly election," revealed the cadres in a joint media address.
