Coimbatore: Around 15,960 students will be appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)-UG 2019 in the district on Sunday.
Coimbatore: Around 15,960 students will be appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)-UG 2019 in the district on Sunday.
In the district, 32 centres have been designated for NEET exams. 21 centres in the city limits and 11 centres on the outskirts have been allotted in the district. 10,200 students will be appearing at the centres in city limits and 5760 students at the outskirts will be taking part in the exam.
The exam will commence at 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm, however students are asked to assemble at the respective centres by 12 pm. Students from other districts and neighbouring state Kerala are also part of the 15,960 students who will be appearing for the medical eligibility exam today, here.
The students are asked to carry a colour print out of the NEET admit card 2019 on a A4 size paper affixed with a Passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the NEET Online Application Form).
And, one Passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the Online Application Form) to be pasted on the attendance sheet at the Centre. And a valid Photo ID Proof in ORIGINAL (PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E- Aadhaar/Ration Card).
Several restrictions in terms of dress code has also been enforced. The students are not allowed to wear full sleeve dresses, ornaments like ring, earrings, nose-pin, chain/necklace, pendants, badge, and brooch etc.
The students cannot carry Instrument/ Geometry/ Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material), Eatables and Water (loose or packed), Mobile Phone/ Earphone/ Microphone/ Pager, Calculator, DocuPen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder, to wear/carry any type of watch including Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the Examination Hall/Room.
However, diabetic students will be allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/ orange) and transparent water bottle.
The students are advised to cooperate during frisking and any violation will be dealt strictly.
