"With nothing else to showcase, BJP is politicising Pulwama attack to gain votes" -K.S. Alagiri, TN Congress President in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: "As they don't have any acheivements to showcase to the public, BJP is trying to politicise the death of 40 CRPF personnel in Pulwama and bombing of JeM’s Balakot camp to gain votes", alleged K.S. Alagiri, President of Tamil Nadu Congress Party in Coimbatore on Sunday.

The TN Congress President addressed the press at the City airport on Sunday and slammed that BJP's Tamilisai Soundararajan has been passing comments without knowing facts. "During Thane cyclone, Chidambaram who was the Home minister visited the affected areas. But during Gaja cyclone, which caused severe devastation in Tamil Nadu's Delta region, no Minister from the BJP cabinet visited the areas. But, Tamilisai has alleged that none from Congress party visited dying Thane Cyclone. She has to get her facts right".

"Fearing defeat, BJP is trying to misguide people by claiming that Rahul Gandhi is not an Indian Citizen. Irrespective of their blame games, Congress will win across the nation and form government. The fascist BJP government is nearing it's end", he said.

He also alleged that AIADMK government who is acting as a puppet and mouthpiece for BJP government will earn it's lessons after May 23. The local body elections have been purposefully delayed by the ruling government, as they know they would be defeated by DMK.

Earlier, the TN Congress President was welcomed by Mayura Jayakumar, Working President, TN Congress and V.C. Manoharan, District Congress President.
