According to initial reports, Arokiyasamy from Tuticorin has been working as a Mason in Tirupur. Every morning, he picks up contractual labourers from P.N.Salai located near the Corporation park for carrying out building works in various parts of Tirupur Recently, it is reported that a tussle broke out between another Mason and Arokiyasamy in picking up labourers for their work.
This morning, when Arokiyasamy came to P.N Salai to pick up labourers, a gang of four intercepted him and hacked him to death. As a result, Arokiyasamy suffered fatal injuries and died on the spot.
The police have commenced an investigation and are enquiring the labourers who witnessed the cold-blooded murder.
