Coimbatore: DMK President M.K. Stalin, on Sunday, appealed to the voters of Sulur Assembly Constituency to cast their votes for Pongalur Palanisamy who is the candidate of the secular progressive alliance for the upcoming Sulur by-election on May 19.

Stalin walked down through residential and market areas in Irugur here which falls under Sulur assembly constituency and sought the support of the locals for 'rising sun' symbol and put an end to their grievances.

He interacted with the public and sellers at the market area and patiently listened to their grievances and assured to fulfil them after his party comes to power.
Women in the area raised issues on water scarcity prevailing in the area and also irregular supply of drinking water.

More than youngsters, elderly people and women took selfies with the DMK leader and expressed their joy by taking 'Aarathis'.

The DMK leader also expressed confidence that DMK will come to power once the results of the by-elections of the 22 Assembly constituencies are announced on May 23.

Stalin will be campaigning at various places of Sulur assembly for the whole day covering areas like Thennampalayam, Vaagarayampalayam, Karumathaampatti Panchayat, Somanur, Samalapuram, Sulur, Kannampalayam and Paapampatti Pirivu.
