Vehicle drivers advised to be cautious due to elephant movement in Kotagiri

The Nilgiris: The Forest Department has advised vehicle drivers to be cautious and safe on the roads, and avoid stopping on the roads to take selfies since elephants have been sighted near the tea estates, near Kunjappanai check post near Kotagiri.

The Nilgiris: The Forest Department has advised vehicle drivers to be cautious and safe on the roads, and avoid stopping on the roads to take selfies since elephants have been sighted near the tea estates, near Kunjappanai check post near Kotagiri.

Due to the season of jackfruits, elephants from the forest reserve areas have been straying on to the roads and gardens at the Kunjappanai check post and Maamaram areas in the past few days.
