Eswaran who campaigned in areas that come under the Sulur north union including Kaaduvettipalayam, Kittampalayam and Kulathupalayam said, "The AIADMK regime is the one that gives amnesty to culprits. For instance, the present regime stands as a guard for the accused in the Pollachi sexual case. Women in India fear to go out of their houses even during the day. Incidents that happened in Erode and Perambalur confirm that there is no safety for women. People should not vote for the AIADMK and BJP alliance, since people have suffered a lot in the past eight years, " he noted.
Functionaries of the DMK and Congress also accompanied him during the campaign.
