Coimbatore : In a major drug racket, around 150 youngsters mostly students were arrested for using banned drugs at a resort in Sethumadai in Pollachi on Saturday.
District Collector K. Rajamani has ordered to seal the resort which has been operating without proper license at Anna Nagar in Sethumadai.
Ganesh and six others belonging to the resort has been arrested.
Banned drugs including cocaine, ganja, injections, sedative tablets were seized from the resort in which more than 150 youngsters mostly hailing from Kerala had gathered to spend their weekend.
Reports also say that the youngsters are pursuing education at colleges in and around Coimbatore. They were caught red-handed by the Anamalai police after the villagers reported of drug usage.
However information on the whereabouts of the arrested youth and whether all the arrested belong to the same gang are yet to be known.
