When the IT officials raided Martin’s residence and offices across the country a few days ago, they also interrogated Palanisamy and raided his residence. After this, Palanisamy’s body was found in a pond and then sent to the Mettupalayam Government Hospital (GH) for autopsy.

Palanisamy’s son Robin and his relatives are urging the police to file the death as a murder case, since they suspect foul play. The police tried to conduct a postmortem on Palanisamy by shifting his corpse to Coimbatore Government Hospital. Enraged by this, the relatives argued with police insisting that they do so only after filing a murder case. The cell phone of a police officer who tried to capture the argument on his phone was broken during the altercation which created a stir at the spot. Police security has been beefed up at the Mettupalayam GH.
