Coimbatore : Pollachi has hit the headlines yet again for all the wrong reasons. In a shocking raid, over 150 students were caught red-handed by the Anamalai Police in the wee hours of today for using drugs at a resort in Sethumadai. All students were later arrested.
Coimbatore : Pollachi has hit the headlines yet again for all the wrong reasons. In a shocking raid, over 150 students were caught red-handed by the Anamalai Police in the wee hours of today for using drugs at a resort in Sethumadai. All students were later arrested.
The police busted the major drug racket at the private resort located in Anna Nagar, Sethumadai. The police received the tip-off from locals that over 100 youth had been using drugs at the resort and creating chaos since Friday evening. The Anamalai police reached the spot and caught the students using drugs like ganja, cocaine, injections,sedative tablets which were seized during the raid.
Upon orders from SP, Sujit Kumar, a special team of police officials raided the entire resort and even arrested Ganesh and six others who are employees at the farm resort. The police are on the lookout for the owner of the resort for illegally running the resort and allowing drug substance.
It is reported that a few of the students escaped from the scene and the police have launched a search to nab them.
Most of the arrested students hail from Kerala and have been pursuing education in colleges situated in Coimbatore.
