Coimbatore: "Both Stalin and Dhinakaran should stop behaving like astrologers. Instead of predicting AIADMK's fall, they should be focusing on their party. All the opposition parties are jealous of the schemes owned by our party," opined O Paneerselvam, the Deputy Chief Minister at a campaign for Sulur by-polls.
"V P Kandhasamy, the candidate fielded by the AIADMK is native to the region and also a relative to late MLA Kanagaraj who died recently. All other parties have fielded candidates who do not belong to the geography. If elected, Kandhasamy will work effectively for the welfare of the people and execute all schemes proposed by late MLA Kangaraj," he added.

Speaking on various issues, V P Kandhasamy said, "Irugur railway station will be upgraded. A 30-bed primary health centre will be opened for the benefit of the public. The people of Tamil Nadu have largely benefited from the priceless schemes introduced by Amma. From maternity schemes to the recent free two-wheeler for women scheme, every household is a beneficiary of the schemes launched by the AIADMK. Already 6 lakh concrete homes have been built for the economically backward people. By 2023, our government will provide concrete homes to all people living in huts," vowed the Deputy CM.

He also apprised that Tamil Nadu under the regime of AIADMK is free of communal or religious clashes. "People recognise our selfless governance. Hence, all stories brewed by the opposition will not hold a chance."

He also criticised K S Alagiri, the President of Tamil Nadu Congress who said that AIADMK will vanish after the elections. "Where was Alagiri all this time? People in TN have disowned Congress long ago. Congress is non-existent in TN," he slammed. "Our governance is led by Jayalalithaa and MGR. Hence we strive hard towards the upliftment of people living in the lower strata of the society. People should not fall prey to the false accusations by DMK and other parties." he reiterated.
He also alleged that Dhinakaran's family who was living with Jayalalithaa for the past 32 years failed to save her. "Now he has launched a caste-based political party by deceiving AIADMK, which is a party with 47 years of legacy," he added.
