Coimbatore: Adiyogi Divya Darshanam, a unique light and sound show will be open for visitors at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore, on May 4, 2019.
The show will become a regular weekend feature at Adiyogi after the inaugural show for visitors. Adiyogi Divya Darshanam will happen at 8 pm every Saturday and Sunday, besides other auspicious days such as Amavasya and Pournami among others. 24 hi-tech laser projectors will bring alive the story of Adiyogi in a vivid light and sound show with the background narrative rendered in Sadhguru’s voice.
A team of more than 150 volunteers and professionals worked for six months on the light and sound project known as projection mapping. The visual special effects were created partly in India and partly in Korea. It is the first known projection mapping on a black contoured surface. Projection mapping is usually done on lighter shades that reflect light unlike black which absorbs it. It is also usually done on flat surfaces such as walls. This is probably the largest projection mapping spectacle in terms of surface area, a total area of 8000 sq.ft.
Adiyogi Divya Darshanam was unveiled by the President Ramnath Kovind on the night of Mahashivaratri on March 4 in the presence of Sadhguru. The President was the Chief Guest at the 25th anniversary of the Mahashivaratri celebrations at the Isha Yoga Center, this year. Adiyogi Divya Darshanam will be open for public exactly two months to the date and is expected to draw larger crowds at the iconic Adiyogi, one of the biggest attractions at the Isha Yoga Center.
