Hundreds visit Photo and Art exhibition of Nilgiri Mountain Rail

The Nilgiris: A photo exhibition, which explains the various aspects of Nilgiri Mountain Rail (NMR) and Ooty’s past glory was held at the Ooty Railway station on Wednesday.

The Nilgiris: A photo exhibition, which explains the various aspects of Nilgiri Mountain Rail (NMR) and Ooty’s past glory was held at the Ooty Railway station on Wednesday. 



In a bid to promote the iconic NMR, the exhibition has been organised by the Heritage Steam Chariot Trust on Wednesday.

Rare, unseen black and white photographs depicting the journey of NMR since it's inception and photographs of indigenous tribes of the Nilgiris was showcased in the exhibition.



Paintings by artist Jothsna Prasad and other eminent photographers were kept for public display. Hundreds of public and tourists visited the exhibition and enjoyed the paintings and photographs.
