Raid continues at 22 properties of lottery tycoon Martin in Coimbatore

Coimbatore : The income tax officials have been raiding all the properties of Lottery tycoon Martin across the country from Tuesday noon. More than 70 offices and properties in Chennai, Coimbatore, Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi are being subjected to raid.


Coimbatore : The income tax officials have been raiding all the properties of Lottery tycoon Martin across the country from Tuesday noon. More than 70 offices and properties in Chennai, Coimbatore, Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi are being subjected to raid. 

Around 22 properties including his residence in Vellakinar here and Martin Homeopathy College are also under scrutiny. 

Presently, one of his property in Sivanandha Colony has been raided by a team of income tax officials who at present are investigating at the residence of one of the security guard of Martin Homeopathy College which is present inside the premises of his property in Sivanandha Colony.

Sources say that the security guard's house has been thoroughly raided. It is expected that the raid will continue for another couple of hours or more. 

It is also speculated that Martin's connection with DMK and alleged funding for the party has led to the raid.
