Coimbatore: Anitha, a student of the Mettupalayam Municipal Girls Higher Secondary School who secured 554 marks in the Class 12 Board exams is reportedly struggling to pursue her higher education due to the financial situation of her family.

Anitha’s father died just two days before the start of her board exams and in spite of her unbearable loss, Anitha braved all odds by the encouragement given by her school teachers. By sheer perseverance, she topped the school by scoring 554 marks in the Class 12 Board Exams. The School Headmistress, G Indira, who appreciated her hard work present Rs.5000 to Anitha for her higher studies.
