Coimbatore : Public hurled stones at a private hospital for allegedly refusing treatment to a youngster who sustained injuries in an accident.

Kiruba Hospital functioning at Kovilmedu on Thadagam Road in Coimbatore has been alleged of not providing timely treatment and refusing an ambulance for shifting a 28-year-old youngster who met with an accident on Kanuvai- Thadagam Road on Sunday evening. 



The youngster was rushed to the private hospital for treatment on Sunday. The private hospital has allegedly denied to admit him and advised the public to shift him to Government hospital. However, it is also alleged that when the public had asked for providing ambulance support to shift him, the hospital had denied. 

Meanwhile, the youngster died on the way to GH. Following this, the irked people carried out an argument with the hospital management and a part of them even hurled stones on the hospital and damaged the name board and window panes.

Based on the complaint from the Immanuel, administrator of the hospital, Thudiyalur Police registered case against Ram Kumar (22) of Thavasi Nagar, Sinraj (29) of Anbu Nagar, John Sathish (30) of Kavundampalayam colony and Nithiya Prabu (24) of Idayarpalayam JJ Nagar who damaging the hospital's property and defaming their name.
