Coimbatore: “Make us win in Sulur, and I will change the current regime in 25 days,” challenged DMK Treasurer, Duraimurugan in a meeting with DMK activists in Coimbatore.
DMK candidates and activists were introduced in a meeting held in Sulur for the upcoming by-election. Duraimurugan, Sulur election in-charge A V Velu, Former Central Minister A Raja and KMDK General Secretary Eswaran participated in the meeting.
When Duraimurugan saw the activists present in large numbers at the meeting, he commended the crowd saying, “I am astonished seeing this crowd. I have participated in “n” number of activists' meetings from 1957 but for the first time I am seeing such a big magnitude of activists at a meeting. This is conducted like a conference. On behalf of the DMK, I salute those who organized this meeting. If the AIADMK cadres see this crowd and still think they are bigger, I will praise them."
"I had learnt politics for 53 years at Kalaignar’s feet. He had the talent and mastermind to excite State and Central Governments at the same time. Stalin is his blood. DMK will win 100 percent in Aravakurichi, Ottpidaram and Thiruparangundram constituencies. If you make us win in Sulur, I will change the current regime within 25 days. I will be seated where I am, but the crackers will go off in celebration," he added.
