Tirupur : Tiruppur District once again topped Tamil Nadu exams by securing first place in the State with a 98.53 pass percentage in the recently announced Class 10 Board exams.

An elated District Collector, K S Palanisami addressed the media right after the results were announced saying, "Tiruppur has gained first place in the State, securing 98.53 pass percentage. Out of 29,153 students who appeared for the exams, 28,723 passed the exams. We secured first place similar to the Class 12 Board exams. My greetings and appreciation to the teachers and students who contributed to this feat. We feel happy to have secured first place in both Class 12 and Class 10 Board exams, in the same year."
"100% pass in Adi Dravidar schools and 97.54% pass in Government schools are the reasons for Tiruppur securing first place. The School Education Department has prepared students well by conducting special classes and making them clear their exams," lauded the Collector who was all praise for the Education Department.
In celebration, the Government school students in Tiruppur cut a cake.
