Car dealer killed in Coimbatore: Police nab murderers within 48 hours
Coimbatore: Within 48 hours of the murder of the car dealer in Podanur, the special teams formed under City police commissioner sumith saran and deputy commissioner balaji saravanan have nabbed the accused involved in the murder of the 37-year-old car dealer who was hacked to death by a six-member gang in Podanur on April 18.
The accused have been identified as Ravi (30) from Goldwins, Chinniyampalayam, Marudhupandi (30) from Chennai and Nawin (25) from Tirupur. Based on the confession of Ravi, one of the prime accused in the case, the police have nabbed a gang of three who were hired for the murder.
During the interrogation, Ravi has confessed that he and the murder victim had a brewing business rivalry over the years. He also feared that Parandhaman has planned to kill him and hence he decided to kill him beforehand.
The police are on the lookout for Karthik, the leader of the gang involved in the murder. The police have also seized weapons, cash, gold ornaments, cell phone and the car used for the murder.
On April 18, Parandhaman a car dealer in Podanur was hacked to death in his office by a gang of six members. The gang barged into his office and locked down the room in which three of the office staff were also present. The gang assaulted Parandhaman and killed him in broad day light and eloped the spot after robbing Rs. 1.5 lakhs of cash, and gold ornaments from the deceased and the office staff.
The CCTV cameras were also damaged by the gang who escaped from the spot using one of the cars parked there.
