PSG Medical College lecturer leaves behind a lesson even in death

Coimbatore: A lecturer from PSG Medical College and Hospital, A C Baskaran who hails from Ganapathy met with an accident near Peelamedu on April 9.


Coimbatore:  A lecturer from PSG Medical College and Hospital, A C Baskaran who hails from Ganapathy met with an accident near Peelamedu on April 9. 

He was admitted in PSG Hospitals on the same day for treatment. He was declared brain dead by the doctors on April 15. 

With proper procedures followed after gaining approval from his relatives, his organs were harvested. His eye was donated to Aravind Hospital, heart to Fortis Malar Chennai, one kidney to PSG Hospitals, another kidney to GKNM Hospital, Skin and Spinal Cord to Ganga Hospital. The PSG Hospital management thanked his relatives for the noble gesture which resulted in six people gaining a new lease of life.
