Coimbatore : While campaigning for the Nilgiris parliamentary constituency AIADMK candidate Thiyagarajan at Karamadai in Mettupalayam, senior BJP leader, Ila Ganesan stated that the Lok Sabha election is between the 'chowkidar' and thief.
"DMK is the party which was formed with an aim to beat Congress. But, now the party have forged an alliance with the same party. AIADMK was formed by MGR to point out that the accounts of DMK were not correct. In the last parliamentary election, the AIADMK which competed alone, won 37 parliamentary constituencies and have now forged an alliance with BJP and PMK, the parties which won the remaining two constituencies confirming that we will win the Lok Sabha elections," opined Ila Ganesan.
He also added, "DMK which is to begin from zero after the demise of Karunanidhi is to get the same ‘zero’ in this election. Even if the BJP win with a majority at the Centre, the winning candidates of AIADMK will be given postings as Central Ministers so that we can get all the schemes from the Centre. AIADMK will emerge victorious in all the 40 parliamentary constituencies apart from winning the by-elections. As per the people’s verdict, it is confirmed that we are going to rule for five years. This election is between the chowkidar and thief. To ensure the safety of the nation and development, Prime Minister Modi should take charge as Prime Minister, once again."
He also felt that hearing DMK Chief Stalin making derogatory comments on Prime Minister Modi, it gave them a clear view on why late former DMK Chief Karunanidhi did not appoint Stalin as DMK Chief till his demise.
