Coimbatore: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Coimbatore tomorrow, around 2,000 police personnel and special forces have been deployed in Coimbatore.
Prime Minister Modi is due to arrive in Coimbatore tomorrow to campaign for the BJP candidates of BJP and its allied parties. He is about to address a public meeting to be held in CODISSIA tomorrow. The PM will arrive at the Coimbatore airport in a private chartered flight at 6.30 pm tomorrow and move on to CODISSIA for the campaign meeting at 6.45 pm, following which he will return to Delhi at 8.15 pm.
Ahead of the Prime Minister's visit, special forces have arrived in Coimbatore from Delhi to carry out a strict vigil in and around CODISSIA. The Tamil Nadu Police Department have also deployed 1000 policemen of the City Division and 1000 policemen from other Districts led by the Special DGP, IG, two DIGs, four ADSP, five SPs, 10 DSPs, City Police Commissioner and the District Superintendent of Police.
