“We welcome the High Court order against eight-lane expressway project” – CPI (M) leader G Ramakrishnan

Coimbatore : G Ramakrishnan, the CPI (M) leader while addressing the media at the election manifesto release event, at Sowripalayam today welcomed the High Court's order against the Chennai-Salem eight-lane expressway project.

“Many protests happened against the Chennai-Salem eight-lane expressway project which was a threat to the livelihood of farmers. A case was registered in the High Court six months ago, the judgment for which was pronounced today. The High Court has also ordered to cancel the Government Order passed for the project. On behalf of the Secular Progressive Alliance, I welcome this judgment,” he added.
