Coimbatore: The Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy campaigned in Coimbatore and Pollachi over the weekend, supporting Mahendran, AIADMK candidate for Pollachi and C P Radhakrishnan, the BJP candidate for Coimbatore constituency.
Coimbatore: The Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy campaigned in Coimbatore and Pollachi over the weekend, supporting Mahendran, AIADMK candidate for Pollachi and C P Radhakrishnan, the BJP candidate for Coimbatore constituency.
He addressed the public in Sundarapuram, Kuniyamuthur, Raja Street and Thondamuthur. Thousands of members from BJP, AIADMK, DMDK and PMK participated in the rally. Speaking at the Pollachi rally, he said, "The country will be safe only if the Prime Minister is strong. The parties which have the people’s support are in an alliance and contesting the election. Stalin is giving false promises thinking it is the Assembly elections. But the Tamil Nadu people are smart enough and they know for whom to vote. The first concrete road was laid between Coimbatore and Pollachi. AIADMK was the only party that was against triple talaq and supported HAJ subsidy,” highlighted the CM on the AIADMK's achievements.
Speaking at Coimbatore Raja street supporting CPR, the CM said, “DMK has become a company where only family members can hold posts. Why is Vaiko not contesting on his own party symbol? He talks without thinking. DMK’s corruption extended to air (2G spectrum), hence the party workers will have the same attitude. Stalin argues that the IT department hid and seized the amount by themselves when they raided in Vellore," scoffed the CM slamming DMK.
“Coimbatore will become a city with all facilities when BJP in coalition with AIADMK comes to power. Projects like airport expansion and the Ukkadam flyover are happening with the support of the Central Government," reiterated the CM.
