Coimbatore : Sudhakar Reddy, the CPI All India General Secretary campaigned today in Coimbatore, supporting P R Natarajan, the CPI (M) candidate for Coimbatore constituency who is contesting the election on behalf of the Secular Progressive Alliance. Leaders of DMK, Congress, CPI, Marxist Communist and KMDK who were the part of Secular Progressive Alliance participated in the event.

Sudhakar Reddy addressed the crowd saying, "Every election is important because it decides who will rule us. But the upcoming parliament election is a very important one, the reason being, if the Modi government comes to power again, there might be no election in the future. Even BJP leaders are quoting this. He is continuously demolishing the democratic setup. He made the Supreme Court, Reserve Bank, CBI, IT Department, Enforcement Department like caged parrots. BJP’s rule has shattered the unity of the nation. They are punishing Dalits and minorities by implicating false cases. They are crushing freedom of expression by killing writers and journalists. Modi did not even comment regarding this. Instead of implementing the Constitution, the BJP is implementing Manu’s law. RSS is having the upper hand in educational institutions. The promises made by Modi have not been fulfilled. Demonetization and GST implementation in the name of black money recovery ended as a big farce," he slammed.

"Modi is politicizing the Pulwama attack martyrs. They are the reason behind the death of the soldiers in the attack. He betrayed people by giving the tax money to Anil Ambani who was framed in the Rafale issue. The AIADMK which is fully corrupt has handed themselves to BJP, totally. The BJP-AIADMK coalition candidates must be defeated. Hence, people should eradicate them by creating a secular government. I request people to vote for the Left wing and support the Secular Progressive Alliance,” urged Sudhakar Reddy.
