Sekar, BJP's State Treasurer stated in a press meet yesterday at Coimbatore. The BJP functionary was addressing the press to brief about the PM's visit to Coimbatore.
"The opposition parties are spreading a rumour that BJP winning the elections is a question mark. Our alliance will win for sure and support for us is growing day by day. Rahul Gandhi is contesting in Wayanad running away from his constituency. according to a private poll survey 16% of people support Rahul Gandhi as a prime ministerial candidate and 63% people support Narendra Modi as the Prime ministerial candidate. Moreover 86% of people support Modi and the BJP government is the only party that can provide a corruption free government " stated S.R.Sekar.
"Surveys predict that NDA alliance will win 21 seats in Tamil Nadu , we will win in Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Tirupur with a vast majority" added the BJP functionary.
He also defended GST and said the GST council is an independent organisation and along with the finance ministers of the states have reduced the rates of various products and services many times. He criticised the opposition parties for spreading the message that many industries were closed down because of GST.
"Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Coimbatore on 9th and will be addressing a public meeting at CODISSIA. More than two lakh people are expected to participate in the meeting" said Sekar.
