The special teams formed under the orders of West Zone, IG, K. Periaiah and DIG Karthikeyan have displayed excellent team work in apprehending the accused.
Four special teams were formed under the direct supervision of SP, Sujit Kumar. DSP Madasamy, DSPs Sivakumar, Balamurugan, Inspector, Vairam, Vetrivel headed the special teams.
Officers from cyber crime, Sastha and Velusamy had aided the special teams in tracing the contacts from the victims phone, following which the suspicion fell on Sathish Kumar.
The higher officials have appreciated the quick response of the district Police in arresting the accused within 18 hours. The synergy and team work displayed by the police department will help enhance the faith of the people in police.
