Coimbatore : In a major twist in the murder of the 20-year-old college girl, the arrested suspect and the girl are known to each other, sources say.
Sources close to the family say, Sathish Kumar, the suspect who was arrested in connection with the murder of the girl is known to the girl and the family for a long time. Five years ago, Sathish Kumar was in love with the girl and approached her parents for marriage. Citing age, the girl's parents denied the marriage proposal. Later, Sathish Kumar got married to another woman.
Hence, it is suspected that Sathish Kumar could have connection with the murder of the girl.
Presently, the autopsy has been completed and the body has been handed-over to her parents. However, there are no official reports, if the girl was subjected to rape.
