"The State government which is guarding the fascist BJP government should also be sent home this elections. In the Nilgiris constituency, the actions taken by the BJP government has created distrust and anguish among people. The closure of Hindusthan photo films factory and now steps to close down the cordite factory on Aruvankadu will lead to huge unemployment and economic crisis in the region", noted A. Raja.

Earlier, the senior DMK leader was welcomed with a lively cultural dance by badaga people. A.Raja has been on a campaign spree since the past week, he has been campaigning at all assembly constituencies that falls under the Nilgiris Parliamentary constituency including Bhavanisagar, Udhagamandalam, Gudalur, Coonoor, Mettupalayam and Avinashi.

During the campaign on Saturday, G. Ramakrishnan, Senior CPI (M) leader who was seen campaigning along with A.Raja in Coonoor urged people to vote wisely. He noted that people should vote for their secular progressive alliance and remove the fascist BJP government. "As the saying goes, actions speak louder than words, BJP government's initiatives were geared towards the welfare of the corporates and not the common man of this nation", he noted.
