Coimbatore: Reassuring the grief-stricken parents of the seven-year old girl who was raped and murdered at Pannimadai near Thudiyalur, the District Collector has assured that the autopsy report of the child would be handed-over to them without any further delay.
Following the allegation put forth by the mother of the child that the hospital and police authorities are deliberately delaying to hand-over the autopsy reports of their child.
Today morning, the parents even convened a press meet and alleged that the delay in autopsy report has been causing more grief to them, hence officials should expedite the process.
Responding to their request, District Collector, K. Rajamani said that "The anguish of the parents is understandable. Action has been initiated to expedite the process of handing over the autopsy reports and financial assistance granted by the government to the parents".
