Coimbatore: The grief-stricken parents of the seven-year old girl who was raped and murdered at Pannimadai near Thudiyalur allege that the hospital and police authorities are deliberately delaying handing over the autopsy reports of their child.

Sabarimala, a teacher who had resigned her job stressing the need to scrap NEET handed over Rs.1 lakh to the family of the minor victim at an event held at the Coimbatore Press Club. Earlier, while addressing the media, Sabarimala said, "Implementing strict laws alone will not put an end to the sexual assault crimes against girl children. Sex education should be added to the school curriculum, right from when the children reach 10 years of age. A total of Rs.1 lakh was collected from various people who wanted to support the family of the girl. Measures will be initiated to provide a house and support the education of the minor victim's sister," she added.

The mother of the minor victim demanded justice for the death of their girl. "Both the police department and the hospital are deliberately delaying in submitting the autopsy report of our daughter. Some false news are also being spread in the media against our child," she alleged.
