The second phase of training program for government school teachers and all government staff of various departments who are appointed as polling booth officers is scheduled for April 7.
Venues for the training program has been fixed in schools and colleges, as per the constituencies. An SMS regarding the training will be sent to all polling booth officers.
Venues of training are as follows:
1. Mettupalayam – National Matric Higher Secondary School, National Nagar, Sirumugai
2. Sulur - R.V.S Matric Higher Secondary School, Trichy road, Sulur
3. Goundampalayam – Kongunadu Arts and Science College
4. Coimbatore (north) – Hindustan Arts and Science College
5. Thondamuthur – Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology
6. Coimbatore (south) – Nirmala College of Arts and Science for Women
7. Singanallur – Municipal Girls Higher Secondary School, Ramanathapuram
8. Kinathukadavu – Hindustan College of Technology, Othakalmandapam
9. Pollachi – Mahalingam College of Technology
10. Valparai – Mahalingam College of Engineering, Udumalpet road, Pollachi
All those appointed as polling booth officers have been advised to compulsorily attend the training program on April 7. Photocopies of the appointment order and voter IDs are expected to be brought along for the training," said K Rajamani, District Collector and District Election Officer.
