NILGIRIS: The District Collector Innocent Divya lit an Olympic torch at an event held in Ooty to create awareness on the importance of 100 percent voting.
The Collector also launched a T-shirt which read, "VOTE Podunga, Panam Vangatheenga” (Cast your VOTE, Don’t take NOTE) and a short film about voting. Speaking at the event, Innocent Divya said, “People should avoid accepting money to vote. Those who do so ought not to demand welfare schemes and question the Government,” she opined.
