Coimbatore: A young woman filed a complaint with the office of the Superintendent of Police, seeking action against those who have threatened her for filing a complaint against the son of a kabaddi coach from Sundarapuram.

Sanjeev Kumar (26) has a reputation for misbehaving with girls who are being coached by his father. Recently, Sanjeev Kumar allegedly spoke in an abusive manner to a 19-year old girl who was practising kabaddi. He reportedly asked the girl to go with him on his bike, a few days ago. Since she refused, Sanjeev Kumar has apparently been issuing death threats to the girl, following which she filed a complaint at the Variety Hall Road police station.

A case has been registered against Sanjeev Kumar under different sections and he has been lodged in prison.

Meanwhile, it is alleged that the kin of Sanjeev Kumar have threatened the girl to withdraw the case. The girl has now filed a complaint with the office of the Superintendent of Police seeking protection.
