While campaigning at Pandalur here, Paneerselvam said, "People are the masters who are in the position to hand the verdict now. People are aware of the political party which helped them recover from drought. So, people should cast their votes to that party. Amma is the one who made all the basic facilities for the future generation and improved the per capita income in the State. 6,00,000 concrete houses have been built till date. Another 15 lakh houses will be built soon. Amma is the one who passed the resolution to announce Rajapaksa as war criminal."
He slammed the DMK saying, "Communal and religious clashes took place in large numbers during the DMK rule. Stalin says that AIADMK will vanish. This was not possible even for his father. Even a tsunami or cyclone cannot shatter the AIADMK regime. Stalin is wearing shirts of different colours as suggested by astrologers. He is drinking tea in tea shops whereas I owned a tea shop.
Property abduction and other violence took place in large numbers during the DMK regime. I was the MLA for Kodaikanal for 10 years, and I am very much aware of the sufferings of people living in hilly regions. A solution will be brought for Section 17 issue. 100 days employment scheme will be transferred to 150 days," he added.
