Class 10 exam paper corrections disrupted in Tiruppur owing to JACTO-JIO teachers boycott

Tiruppur: More than 300 government school teachers who belong to the JACTO–JIO Association boycotted the correction of Class 10 exam answer sheets. Following this, the process of correction came to a halt.


Tiruppur: More than 300 government school teachers who belong to the JACTO–JIO Association boycotted the correction of Class 10 exam answer sheets. Following this, the process of correction came to a halt. Teachers of the JACTO–JIO Association are protesting for the pending salary.



"Government has not paid salary for last year’s Class 10 exam paper correction duty. We brought it to the attention of the District Education Department Officials several times, upon which they have forwarded the money to the District Education Officer four months ago which has not been disbursed to us till date. Similarly, salary has not been paid to the teachers who were involved in Class 12 exam invigilation duty," they alleged.
