Coimbatore: Balakrishnan (a) Prabhu, a resident of Uppara Street on Variety Hall road attempted to murder Saravanan on March 22.
The two men reside in the same area but hostility had been brewing between them for a while. Later Saravanan was admitted in hospital with injuries. The Variety Hall police arrested Prabhu, filing a case against him for attempt to murder and imprisoned him in jail.
The DCP has ordered for Prabhu to be arrested under the POCSO Act, since he has been continuously involved in various crimes. Following the order, a case has been filed against him under the POCSO Act.
