Coimbatore: The CPI (M) candidate P R Natarajan has categorically stated during his campaign trail in the city that that Prime Minister Modi who made false promises such as Rs.15 lakhs being credited to every citizen’s account and jobs for two crore people every year, will be thrown out of power.
P R Natarajan is the CPI(M) candidate in alliance with the DMK and is currently campaigning at various places in the Southern constituencies. His campaign trail which began at Hosimin Nagar near Sivanandha Colony covered Valluvar Street, Gandhipuram, Sathi Road, 100 feet road, Nanjappa Road, VKK Menon Road, Sidhapudur, Ganesapuram and Puliyakulam.

Nachimuthu of DMK, Sedhuraman, V N Udhayakumar, Nandha Kumar, Rajeswari, CVC Gurusumani of Congress, R R Mohan Kumar from MDMK, J O Ilaykkiyan of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) and members from other parties in the coalition also took part in the campaign.
P R Natarajan also slammed Modi for his false promise that measures will be taken to export products from Coimbatore, Tirupur and Erode districts. "Modi came to power by giving these assurances which he did not fulfill. He was responsible for the closing of medium and small scale industries, handlooms and textile industries in the Kongu region. Due to this, both entrepreneurs and workers are still in crisis," he said.
"Modi who assured that all the black money will be grabbed and credited to the bank accounts of the public only paved the way for transforming black money of corporates to white money and also made the innocent public to stand in front of the ATMs. People will teach a lesson to Modi in the upcoming elections. He came to power only by false assurances.
In DMK’s election manifesto it is noted that educational loans will be cancelled. Likewise, Rahul Gandhi has assured Rs.72,000 crores for poor families," added P R Natarajan.
"We have also put forth the possibilities to fulfill our promises. Modi who made false promises will be thrown out of power. People should cast their votes to secular progressive coalition," reiterated P R Natarajan to the crowds on his campaign trail.
