Coimbatore : The countdown to Makkal Needhi Maiam's Party President, Kamal Haasan's campaign visit to Coimbatore has begun.
While Kamal Haasan is expected to arrive in the city in two days to garner support for the Vice President and candidate for Coimbatore constituency, Dr. R Mahendran and party cadres have already begun reaching out to the locals, seeking votes.
On Tuesday, Dr. R Mahendran along with party cadres were seen campaigning at Bharathy Park in Saibaba Colony and interacting with the flower vendors in the Flower Market (Poo Market) area.
According to a party cadre, "The public response has been great thus far. Our party's policies and our mission toward the development of the city has reached a wider audience.
Especially the importance given to 'accountability' and 'timeline' in accomplishing tasks has been well appreciated by the voters."
