BJP President Amit Shah is arriving in Coimbatore today to garner support for the BJP candidate C P Radhakrishnan. Amit Shah will be addressing a public meeting at Sivanandha Colony, at about 5 pm, today.
Coimbatore is being eyed as an important constituency for the BJP to foray into, the Prime Minister is also expected to arrive on April 8. C P Radhakrishnan, after filing his nomination last Monday had confirmed that Prime minister Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami will visit Coimbatore to campaign in support of the AIADMK-BJP alliance.
The visits of their high profile leaders to Coimbatore has brought much cheer among the BJP party cadres.
