Coimbatore: Dr. R V Ramani, the Founder and Managing Trustee of Sankara Eye Hospital and the recipient of ‘Padma Shri’ award was felicitated by the Trade and Service organisations in the city, at a function held in the Hindustan College of Arts and Science, today.

Dr. R V Ramani was conferred the ‘Padma Shri’ for his work in the field of ophthalmology services this year. The Trade and Service organisations in the city jointly conducted a function to felicitate him at the Hindustan College of Arts and Science. The Anti-Corruption Movement, Coimbatore, Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India) Coimbatore Chapter, Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan, Codissa, COINDIA, The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Coimbatore are among the few organisations that had organised the event.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. R V Ramani expressed his profound thanks to the industries and other associations, as well as the people of Coimbatore who played a crucial role in the growth and development of the Sankara Eye Hospital.
