Coimbatore : Coming down heavily on the Nilgiris candidate of the Non-religious Democratic Front, A. Raja, DMDK Treasurer Premalatha Vijayakanth requested people to vote “against the corrupt”.
Campaigning for the Nilgiris candidate of the National Democratic Alliance Thiyagarajan at Annur on Friday, Premalatha quoted the infamous spectrum scam that proved a game changer during the general elections in 2014. Raja was eventually acquitted from the case as the court felt that the allegations laid against him ware baseless.
Talking about the Athikadavu Avinashi Scheme implementation by the State Government, Premalatha said that the project was a 60-year-old dream for the people of the region. “The project is Rs. 1,642 crore worth for which the State Government is setting up a solar powered power supply at a cost of Rs. 137 crore,” she said.

Claiming that her party’s Chief Vijayakanth would come back to good health and meet the people, she also said that their alliance would win and stay in power.
