Tirupur : The Tirupur district administration has released the final list of electoral candidates for the upcoming Parliamentary elections. A total of 12 candidates will be contesting in the Tirupur Constituency, a release from the District Electoral Officer and District Collector, K.S. Palanisamy.

Out of the 12 candidates, 3 candidates are from recognized political parties, 2 candidates from registered parties and remaining all are independent candidates.
The returning officer also noted that a total of 117 cases has been registered for violating the election model code of conduct.
He also warned that political parties should not use children for campaigning.
